  This tiny local hardware store is a trip and totally worth a visit! The store is packed with items that you might need to repair or improve your home from pipe cutters to garden equipment and locks. They have a little of everything in this store. The folks are real nice behind the counter and they've been there for years. I even was able to have a key made for my 1959 Ranchero at this hardware store!!

  On one occasion I went into their store thinking I probably didn't have enough change for the items I needed, and kinda mumbled something to that effect when I got to the counter. The clerk immediately said "yes you do", and I replied, "I might be a dollar or more short" and then he smiled, and again said "you have enough, it's no problem". I handed him almost a dollar shy of his already low price for the goods, thanked him, smiling myself, and left for my car. Sitting inside, I re-discovered a stash of change I had forgotten about, and went back into the store and gave him what I owed plus a little more for his kind gesture seconds earlier. He accepted with another smile. That kind of encounter is rare these days and it put warmth and a little hope back into my heart. Thank you so much for that. On another occasion I was given nearly a pound of nails free when the clerk accidentally put 6 pounds on the scale instead of the 5 I had asked for. The nails were already at a much lower price than at Lowe's or Home Depot even before the added pound! Finally, on another occasion, I called their store to find out when closing time was, and when I told her "I'll never make it in time" she said: "Do you want me to wait for you?" I have visited this hardware store a total of 3 times already recently, (I count the phone call as a visit) all of them have made me smile inside. Thank you.
